Alice Greenfingers 2

Alice, welcome back! Surely, all of you remember this industrious girl whose farm was the first in the series of successful farming strategy games. Now the second part of the hit is out, and you have a wonderful chance to remember your first farming experience in casual gaming.

A shovel, a patch of land and a bag of seeds - that’s all you need to succeed. Want any prove? Ask Alice!

I’m sure you remember the hard-working Alice Greenfingers, her uncle Berry and their faithful friend Paul, the shopkeeper. In the second part of the game you will meet all the heroes again, and in familiar environment - on a farm. Alice will work in order to earn money and fulfill all the tasks of uncle Berry, who is rather demanding, I should say. Paul will sell all the necessary supplies and equipment, and you will have fun while playing. Nothing much can be said on the game story, as there is essentially no story at all. Just the regular farm life continues.

Concerning the game play I can say it’s mainly the same as in the first game. For each day you have a number of goals (the tasks given by uncle Berry) to complete. Fortunately, you are not bound with any time limit, so you can take your time and develop your farm as you wish without any fear of failing. It’s impossible to fail here. So, for each day you have a mission, and for completing it, as well as some other tasks, you get a badge or a cup - some food for your vanity. The challenges are rather different, starting from removing harmful dandelions and picking apples to growing a certain number of certain plants, selling them, earning a certain amount of money for uncle (or yes, he sometimes needs a new hat or something else not less expensive) or even exercising Jefferson, the family dog, so that he lost some weight. You are the only one who determines what you will do next, as long as you fulfill the tasks.

As in the first part, you dig soil, sow seeds, water plants as you grow, fertilize the soil, harvest your products and take them to the market, where customers are happy to buy them. You are free to purchase hens, beehives or other animals for your farm. They don’t need much of your attention, but bring you additional money as you sell their produce. The same function is performed by trees - you can always gather a number of apples or plums (if you buy a plum tree) for extra cash. Cash is needed for upgrades and some necessary supplies to get from Paul’s shop.

Besides, after each level you are offered to select a free upgrade among a number of options. You can get new goods unlocked in the shop, or a cash bonus, or extra space for your farm, or even advertising in a local newspaper for attracting more customers to the market. All of those are useful, and you take whatever you wish.

So, if you are in for farming strategy games, Alice Greenfingers 2 is the right choice!

Warcraft Wealth Review
I have been playing WoW for some time now and for the first little while I struggled getting gold. Lets put it this way I was stupid. I had made a gnome rouge in hopes of reflecting my halfling rogue from D&D, which was fine. The problem though was when ever I made gold it was gone so quick. I always was running to the auction house buying upgrades, and I mean not worth it upgrades. Being level 33 and buying a sword that gives you 4 more stamina, yeah not cool. Anyways my rogue was always broke. There were times he couldn’t eat to regain health or even repair his amour. Now during all this I had mining and at the time did not realize the gold potential it had. When I discovered I could sell the ore or bars I did and started pulling in some gold.

When level 60 was approaching I wanted to make sure I had enough gold for my epic riding mount. So I actually went to google and searched ways that I could make gold. Some worked and some didn’t. I was able to get the gold but needed help. I had a friend in the guild help me who had a level 70 so that was good and I got my epic riding mount.

Eventually though I got tired and started having less time to play. The only gold I was making was from mining and enchanting mostly, which on my end required a lot of farming. Finnally I did what I said I would never do and bought a gold guide. Warcraft Wealth has helped me to get more gold. You know what is really sad though? Some of the techniques are so easy that I should of been doing them before but wasn’t. So this guide really has given me more confidence oh how to get gold. Read below for my review on Warcraft Wealth.

WOTLK was released 4 days ago, that won’t stop me from promoting this guide though. The key thing I think of is that there are new people joining WoW everyday probably and not everyone is even 70 yet. So this guide will help the people leveling and even help the 70s who just didn’t know about these tips.

This gold guide has 4 different pieces to it. There are 2 videos all about Auctioneer. This is a must, especially if you want to dominate the AH! There also are 3 ebooks which are viewable in PDF format. One of the ebooks is just map locations for mines and the types of mines. For miners or people wanting to mine this is quite helpful. There is a ebook called WoW Basics, this is more for lower level characters. There are detailed sections about professions and where to find important materials needed for those professions. Some info on the AH and why in demand items are so important. There also is some information on low level instances and why you should be doing them from time to time. The last ebook Warcraft Wealth has the most pages and a lot of information to go through. Here you will learn dailies, why you should be doing them, lots of different techniques for gathering some gold while waiting to go into battlegrounds. That is one I never thought of before! Which is sad because I do battlegrounds from time to time. This works with Alterac Valley the best though since it usually is a long wait time. Why sit there? You could go out and farm something while waiting or do some dailies. The farming/grinding section is very helpful with maps and pictures of the best place to find in demand items. There also is a section that will show you how to get your epic flying mount within 5 days through 11 different steps.

Overall the guide did help me to make more gold, since I have been playing WoW for some time now I already knew some of the techniques shared. I think the guide is great for new players and even experienced. Especially now that WOTLK is out, gold is even more important. All I can say though is to check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Ever since I was a young Mage, advancing in my early levels in Stormwind, I was taught the value of crafting. To this day my professions have been an integral way of life in Azeroth and have helped me greatly advance my levels and made me a ton of gold to boot.

With the coming expansion of Wrath of the Lich King, this hasn’t changed, except there are now hundreds of new recipes and even new perks and special abilities now associated with the professions. Just to recap, the number of professions that you can learn hasn’t changed: you can only learn two Primary professions (Herbalism, Inscription, Mining, Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Enchanting, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Skinning and Tailoring) at any one time and any or all of the Secondary professions (Fishing, Cooking and First Aid).

The big new profession that everyone is trying out is Inscription. I’ve written at length on Inscription in my Journal, so I will only say that it’s a great money earner - if you know how to use it. The Glyphs, Scrolls, Vellums, Cards and Tomes made from Inscription are in great demand in the Auction House, although I dare say things will settle down once the market stabilizes.

Alchemy has always been favored by the Mage class and is invaluable for crafting potions and elixirs. Northrend’s new, high-end herbs and recipes making Alchemists popular fellows to have in your Guide of Raid group. Alchemy has now been tweaked with the addition of the passive skill of ‘Mixology’. This makes any potion made by the Alchemist more effective and longer lasting - at least to the Alchemist. A great way to boost your stats.

Blacksmiths have always been able to craft spectacular gear, but now they can create extra gem sockets. New recipes and metals found in Northrend allows the Blacksmith to reach the level of a Grandmaster and to create truly epic gear.

Enchanters have been given a great boost with the addition of Vellums crafted by Scribes with Inscription. Vellums can be freely sold and traded allowing Enchanters to transfer their Enchants, giving them the freedom to fully ply their trade.

Engineering has always been a creative, if not expensive profession. With the expansion, Engineers now have the ability to ‘Tinker’. Tinkering works in much the same way as enchants, but only works on the Engineers own gear. Any piece of gear can hold either an Enchant or a Tinker, but not both.

With Herbalism comes the new ability of ‘Lifeblood’. This is a healing ability, absorbed from the ground and can be used every few minutes. This makes herbalism great for the magical classes that have a relatively low armor value and need to heal quickly.

Jewelcrafters gain the ability of ‘Gem Perfection’ which allows them the chance to cut Northrend gems into perfect gems, giving them additional stats to whatever effect the gems might have.

The cold air of Northrend has also placed Leatherworkers in great demand, especially those who have learnt to craft ‘Fur Linings’. These only work on the bracers of the leather working in much the same way as enchants, but only one effect can be present at a time.

Miners have always been a hardy bunch, and all that pick wielding has earned them the ability of ‘Toughness’ which increases their maximum health. The higher their skill level the greater their toughness.

Skinning has never been for the squeamish, but the great anatomical knowledge that this profession affords adds to the critical strike rating. This can be a great boost to your stats

Finally, Tailors have gained the ability of cloth scavenging, increasing their ability to loot cloth from humanoids.

Quake III became the pinnacle of multi-player online action and was released back in late December 1999 and is still going well nearly 10 years on. It was developed by the American computer game developer giants ID Software and became the game to have across the world.

The idea of Quake III is a first person shooter game that plays host too many different modifications and game types. The main game types for Quake III are Frag For All, Duels, Team Death Match, Clan Arena, Rocket Arena and Capture The Flag.

Upon its release Frag For All was the main game type played which was where people on a server would battle against each other to get the highest score, by collecting weapons and fragging any other player. This soon started to fade and as more and more people became interested in the game they found the potential in team play aspects such as Team Death Match, which started to collect a lot of interest in 2000.

TDM has always been a popular game type and during Quake III’s peak in 2001-2002 a variety of different leagues were being run from Jolt, Clanbase, Savage and Barrysworld to name but a few. Clans were soon formed and practice sessions were held to improve each clans team work and communication over such pieces of software as roger wilco and teamspeak, and with broadband technology increasing its power throughout the UK the playing field became a lot more level as every players pings equalled out.

The Quake III population has slowly decreased through other games being released but the hardcore players are still devoted to it. However as interest started to fade from the game leagues such as Barrysworld started to fold and modifications such as Rocket Arena soon became a thing of the past.

Today the main game type played is Capture The Flag, where team work and communication need to be on the ball.

There are 3 categories of firms that hire you as video game tester and the salary paid varies depending on the company that offered you the job. They are through large scale developers; as in video game companies like Xbox, Nintendo etc, small scale developers; as in developers that develop from home. They can also be classified as sole game developers and testing firms; as in companies that their main business is to test games and reports bugs for both the small scale and large scale game companies. Now let’s classify them according to the amount of salary they pay.

Large scale developers: if you are lucky to get a testing job from large developers, there salary ranges from $10-$12 per hour. There pay, at times, is the largest all. You also receive compensation for any bug you find and other allowances attached to your salary.
